Well, I caved in and went for a run today. It would be great to tell you that the last run for 2012 was a great, epic run. But alas, it was a serious struggle to finish 6 miles. This afternoon was very hot and humid, (Temp 88 F and 96% humidity)(“Feels like” temp of 96 F) which contributed to a sweaty finish. My reward for running 6 miles? I was thrust over the 1,000 mile (1609 Km) mark for 2012.
Not too bad for me as I was only able to run for 10 months this year.

I drank Hammer Heed today. This is the sports drink that will be provided at the Terawera Ultra Marathon, so I am going to train with it to get used to it. I find the taste to be just fine.

I hope that everyone had a successful 2012 and wish health and happiness for everyone. Happy New Year!
