Tanah Lot run plus 1

Monday’s run was a dark drizzly night run. 10 miles on the roads through Canggu. It would be best described as hot and humid. I did this run as a fasted state run and drank only water for the duration. I am hoping that it was also a fat burning run. I want to lose a few more pounds. My weight is now holding at about 166 pounds or 75 Kgs. Monday’s music selection was a mix ranging from Johnny Cash to Ozzy Osbourne to Saint Anyway.

Wednesday was a long run on a windy moonless night. 22 miles out to Tanah Lot and back. I started out slow and stayed that way for the whole run. I noticed on the last few runs that I was falling into the vampire run syndrome. I would adjust my run distances to make sure I got home before the sun rose. This run was different. I wanted to make sure I got in at least 20 miles. Of course I paid for it. Right when it was light enough to turn off my headlamp, the sky opened up and dumped rain on me. It was a driving rain. Not a running rain. At times I had to close one eye as the rain was flying in from the side. It was equal though. It came from both sides. Needless to say, the last 1 1/2 hours were wet and slippery. I did a run/ swim combination for the last part. My 7 pound vest stayed pretty heavy. All in all, it was a pretty good run and I had fun with the rain.
