Sunday Speed Run

Sunday morning was not originally scheduled to be a speed workout. It just ended up that way. I was enjoying a relaxed run through the dark roads of Canggu, when I realized that I was feeling a bit tired. Looking at my Garmin, I saw that my pace was fast, for me. That’s when I decided to continue with the fast pace and pushed it past 10 miles.
Set a new PR for 10 miles, although I have never tried to go for speed at 10 miles. It was kind of hot for being the middle of the night. Still 80 degrees. I wore my CamelBak Ultra Vest again, but only had it weighing in at about 6 pounds. Brought along some leftover Hammer Heed. I found out that the flavor changes after about 3 days. Didn’t find the taste too good, but drank some anyways.

Only 27 more days until the Terawera Ultra Marathon. This week is going to be the last longer mile week. Maybe 60 miles for the week. And then I will start to taper down.

Monday was rainy and dark. Still went out for a short 5k run around Petitenget. Not much to see because of the rain. Maybe everyone stays home early on a Monday morning? I kept up a relaxed pace and my heart rate stayed pretty low.
Travel day today, so nice to get done early.
