Back from my 2 week break and ready to get serious about training for the Bali Marathon and the Voyageur Trail 50 Mile. I know that I have lost my fitness, but now my mind and body have recovered.
Tuesday afternoon I decided to get right back at it and ran the steepest of the hills on my route in Sumbawa.
Totally trashed my legs. Expected to have a tough time of it and was not disappointed. It hurt at the finish of 6 miles. Pretty hot temperatures at sunset. Gauge was showing 90 degrees.
Wednesday was supposed to be an easy pace 5k run to ease back into consistent running. My legs were stiff from the hill climbing of yesterday. For some reason my heart rate topped out at 190. I guess I was doing a bit of a sprint at the end. Hardly remembered doing it though. Feels good to run after a long day at work.
